500 Million Society Self-Titled Album

Local Minnesota Music

I'm not going to deny it, I've been a super mega fan of 500 Million Society (former 550 Million Society, but due to an Atomic Meltdown in Peru they losted 50 million members, so they had to change their name. Don't blame them, blame Nuclear Science) since I found their Myspace page about 2 years ago. I have been pleading with them to make an album, and finally like an electric funk lighting bolt they release their first self-titled album.

BLNK PWNS

Local Minnesota Music

I have been playing "Do Without" for the last two weeks, and I'm amazed about how awesome this track is. The mixing of electropunk and sexy female vocals make this a must have on your digital media player. Download the MP3 and tell your friends you listen to BNLX.

Full EP from BNLX will be released sometime this month! We will update you when the rest of the tracks from this band get release to the drones of Minnesota.

The Website and The DNT

Local Minnesota Music

The road to making this website has been bumpy in the last few weeks. I have no camera (somebody jacked it), and I had to deal with some problems that I did not plan for. This website is being worked on and it's going to kick ass. Our scene needs this type of media, because Christa Lawler hates your band. She hates everything not involved with the "luce" scene.

She actually twitter this to me,

DNTAnE@localmdotcom you seem to have a lot of "ideas" about me based upon ...? I actually rarely go out and if I do: quinlans 8 out of ten times.

The Alrights and Andrew Olson RANT! Updated June 23rd!

Local Minnesota Music

Andrew Olson wrote in the Northland Reader that he's "concerned" about how many people go and see live music. How did he come up with this idea? He counted how many people showed up to see The Alrights. Wow, according to Mr. Olson the scene "sucks" because not a lot of people came out to see The Alrights that night Mr. Olson showed up. So, Mr. Olson decided to write an article in the Northland Reader about how nobody shows up to local concerts and shows.
