Andrew Olson wrote in the Northland Reader that he's "concerned" about how many people go and see live music. How did he come up with this idea? He counted how many people showed up to see The Alrights. Wow, according to Mr. Olson the scene "sucks" because not a lot of people came out to see The Alrights that night Mr. Olson showed up. So, Mr. Olson decided to write an article in the Northland Reader about how nobody shows up to local concerts and shows. He said that he was worried that the amount of people who came out to local shows is down and that everybody should go see Chuck Berry next month. He failed to mention any other shows or concerts other than the one show Mr. Olson went to. I don't know why Mr. Olson has such a hard on for The Alrights. All he ever writes about is how awesome The Alrights and how the scene sucks with the exception to The Alrights.

I would personally like to invite Mr. Olson to any of the Metal shows or maybe a ticket to Shinedown on June 28th. That would show Mr. Olson that people do still attend live music concerts and shows these days.

People still attend live music and concerts. I'll admit that I would like to see bigger crowds, but to completely throw the scene under the bus, because some people didn't show up to The Alrights is dumb.

I was going to link up the Northland Reader website, but they don't have a website or a working link.

I got this message from The Alrights via Myspace:

Wow Craig. I appreciate very much what you have written, honestly. But, you might have written it a year or more ago. Around that time, maybe a year and a half ago, I forget exactly, that's exactly what I told Andrew O. To do, that is, to stop writing about us. Then, I wrote an article in the now retired "High Plains Drifter" in which I said my fear was that some people might have a disaffection for the alrights based on the press we got from Andrew Olson. I guess you're living proof.

Anyways, I don't follow what he writes anymore, I don't know if he has written about us lately or not. Although, I guess he's entitled to his opinion. We just do what we do and try to go about our business. As far as moving to MPLS, I have a house and nice life where I'm at, so do the other fellas, but our goal is to play the cities as much as possible, as we do love it.

Hope you can enjoy us with or without reviews from Andy Olson, or anyone else.

Thanks for getting in touch, see you

I guess The Alrights have the same feelings towards Mr. Olson as I do.
